Edit Widget Element Types

A widget element consists of text, an image, or other content that you can customize with your organization’s information. Some widgets contain more elements than others, but each widget provides a set of controls to access the editable parameters of each of its elements.

Header Widget Element

Header text appears in a large size and (depending on your website theme) may be set in a decorative typeface. Your theme may include more than one of these elements.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Header” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Header” window that opens, replace the default text with content that you type or paste into the text box.
  6. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Image, Logo, or Photo Widget Element

Some widget elements include default content that is part of your theme. In a widget that includes an Image, Logo, or Photo element, edit the widget to replace the default visuals with your own content.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Image,” “Edit Logo,” or “Edit Photo” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Add Image” window that opens, click on the “Browse” button and locate the image file on your computer. You can upload a GIF, JPG, or PNG file up to 15 MB in size.
  6. Click and drag inside the blue selection-area box to position it over the portion of the image that you want to display as the logo. Click and drag any of the blue dots on the corners and edges of the blue box to enlarge or reduce the selected area. On a laptop trackpad or scroll-wheel mouse, zoom in or out to change the display size of the image. You also can click and drag outside the default blue box to draw a new selection area.
  7. When you are happy with your selection, click on the “Save” or “Save Image” button. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Title Widget Element

A Title provides larger text that introduces other content, such as a paragraph or image.

Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.

  1. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  2. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  3. Click on the “Edit Title” item in the control sheet.
  4. In the “Edit Text” window that opens, replace the default text with content that you type or paste into the text box.
  5. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Text Widget Element (Simple)

A simple Text widget element adds a subhead, blurb, or other piece of content that inherits its appearance from your website theme.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Text” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Text” window that opens, replace the default text with content that you type or paste into the text box.
  6. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Text Widget Element (Styled) or Paragraph Widget Element

A styled Text or Paragraph widget adds a content area with controls that enable you to change the appearance of all or part of the text.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Title” or “Edit Paragraph” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Text” window that opens, an extensive series of controls at the top of the window enables you to apply stylistic options. (For an in-depth guide to these controls, see the “Style Controls for Text Widgets” item in the “Site Setup – Pages, Templates & Menus” Section of these instructions.
  6. Select the default text and type or paste in your replacement content. To preserve the default styling, select and replace the content one line at a time.
  7. Use the icon bar above the text box in the “Edit Text” window to apply additional stylistic options.
  8. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Credit Text Widget Element

On testimonial-style widgets, a Credit Text widget element provides a place to display the name of the person whose praise for your organization you quote.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Credit Text” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Text” window that opens,  select the default text in the “Title Text” box and type or paste in the name of your testimonial source.
  6. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Title & Button Widget Element

A Title & Button widget element incorporate an identifying text element and a button that site visitors can click to visit another page or website, or to access a document.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Title & Button” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Title & Button” window that opens, select the default text in the “Title Text” box and type or paste in your title.
  6. Select the default text in the “Button Text” box and type or paste in the message you want to appear on the widget button.
  7. Click on the “Select A Page, Url Or Document To Link To” dropdown menu and select the destination to which you want your button to link.
    • Select “Home” from the “Select A Page, Url Or Document To Link To” dropdown menu to make your button link to the home page of your organization’s website.
    • Select “External Link” from the “Select A Page, Url Or Document To Link To” dropdown menu to make your button link to another website. Type or paste the link to this destination into the “Button URL” box that appears when you choose “External Link” as your destination type.
    • Select “Upload File” to add a document to which your button will link. To specify your file, click on the “Browse” button that appears when you choose “Upload File” as your destination type, and locate the file you want to upload. Click on the name of the file to select it and click on the “Open” button to continue.
  8. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Calendar Widget Element

A Calendar widget can display any calendar you set up for your organization. Note that only a Calendar page includes a Calendar widget. (For instructions on how to set up a Calendar page, see the “Creating a Calendar Page and Attaching a Calendar” item in the “Site Setup – Pages, Templates & Menus” section of these instructions.)

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Calendar” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Calendar” window that opens, click on the “Select a Calendar to Display” dropdown menu and select the calendar you want to appear in the widget area.
  6. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Form Widget Element

Custom forms obtain information from members on a Forms page on your website.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that appears, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Select Form” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Form” window that opens, click on the “Select A Form To Display” dropdown menu and choose your form from the list.
  6. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Gallery Widget Element

Add images to a Gallery widget to showcase your organization’s shared experiences. Note that only a Photo Galley page includes a Gallery widget. (For instructions on how to set up a Photo Gallery page, see the “Creating a Photo Gallery Page and Setting Up the Gallery” item in the “Site Setup – Pages, Templates & Menus” section of these instructions.)

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Gallery” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Gallery” window that opens, click on the “Add Image” button to add your first visual.
  6. In the “Add Image” window that opens, select the default text in the “Image Title” box and type or paste in your image title.
  7. In the “Add Image” window that opens, click on the “Browse” button and locate the image file on your computer. You can upload a GIF, JPG, or PNG file up to 15 MB in size.
  8. Click and drag inside the blue selection-area box to position it over the portion of the image that you want to display as the logo. Click and drag any of the blue dots on the corners and edges of the blue box to enlarge or reduce the selected area. On a laptop trackpad or scroll-wheel mouse, zoom in or out to change the display size of the image. You also can click and drag outside the default blue box to draw a new selection area.
  9. When you are happy with your selection, click on the “Save Image” button. To abandon your changes and return to the “Edit Gallery” window, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.
  10. To add more images to your gallery, repeat steps 5 through 9 above.
    • The order in which multiple images appear from top to bottom in the “Edit Gallery” window determines the order in which they appear from left to right in the Photo Gallery widget.
    • To rearrange the order in which your images appear, drag the four-headed blue arrow to the left of the name of an image. Drag it higher in the list to move the image further to the left in the gallery.
    • Drag lower in the list to move the image further to the right in the gallery.
    • Note that depending on the dimensions of your images, they may display in multiple rows, but their overall top-to-bottom order in the “Edit Gallery” window determines their overall order on the Photo Gallery page.
    • To delete an image, click on the “Delete” icon (red trash can) to the right of the image title.
    • To edit the title of an image or change the image itself, click on the Edit icon (blue pencil) to the right of the image title.
  11. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Featured Links Widget Element

Featured Links provide clickable access to pages within your website or on other sites that are important to your organization and its members.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Featured Links” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Featured Links” window that opens, click on the Edit icon (blue pencil) to the right of one of the three default button-text boxes.
  6. In the “Edit Button Link” window that opens, click in the “Select An Icon” box to open a dropdown menu. To limit the selectable icons to specific types, type or paste a search term in the “Type to filter” box.
  7. Click on the icon you want to use to select it. To close the icon dropdown menu, click in the “Edit Feature Links” window outside of the menu.
  8. Select the default text in the “Link Headline Name” and replace it with a distinctive name that describes your link destination.
  9. Click on the “Select A Page, Url Or Document To Link To” dropdown menu and select the destination to which you want your button to link.
    • Select “Home” from the “Select A Page, Url Or Document To Link To” dropdown menu to make your button link to the home page of your organization’s website.
    • Select “External Link” from the “Select A Page, Url Or Document To Link To” dropdown menu to make your button link to another website. Type or paste the link to this destination into the “Button URL” box that appears when you choose “External Link” as your destination type.
    • Select “Upload File” to add a document to which your button will link. To specify your file, click on the “Browse” button that appears when you choose “Upload File” as your destination type, and locate the file you want to upload. Click on the name of the file to select it and click on the “Open” button to continue.
  10. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes to the individual button link. To abandon your changes and return to the “Edit Featured Links” window, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.
    • To add more than three links, click on the “Add Featured Link” button.
    • To delete a default link or one of the links you have customized, click on the “Delete” icon (red trash can) to the right of the name of the link.
  11. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Documents Widget Element

NOTE: This widget element is not the same as the document-list widget on a Documents page. The Top Documents widget element displays files you upload in the widget element itself. The document-list widget on a Documents page displays the documents you upload in the Administrative Dashboard. (For instructions on how to set up a Documents page, see the “Documents” item in the “Site Setup – Pages, Templates & Menus” section of these instructions.)

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Documents” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Public Documents” window that opens, click on the “Add Document” button to create a document-download button.
  6. Click on the Edit icon (blue pencil) on the right end of the document-download button item.
  7. In the “Select & Identify Document” window that opens, click in the “Title Text” box and type or paste in a title for your document.
  8. Click in the “Info Text” box and type or paste in a description of your document.
  9. Click on the “Browse” button and locate the file you want to upload. Click on the name of the file to select it and click on the “Open” button to continue.
  10. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes to the individual Top Document. To abandon your changes and return to the “Edit Top Documents” window, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.
  11. To add more documents, click on the “Add Document” button and repeat steps 5 through 10.
  12. To replace a file you have uploaded, click on the red “Remove File” link next to the name of the uploaded document in the “Edit Title & Button” window.
  13. Click on the “Update” button to apply your overall changes to the Documents widget element. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Map Address Widget Element

A Map widget element displays the location of your organization. Customize the Map Address widget element with the address you want to display on the map.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Map Address” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Map Address” window that opens, type or paste the street address into the “Address” box. If your address includes more than one line, type or paste the remainder of the address into the “Address Line 2” box.
  6. Type or paste the name of the city into the “City” box.
  7. Click on the “State” dropdown menu and select the state of your location.
  8. Type or paste the ZIP Code of your location into the “Zip” box.
  9. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Upcoming Events Widget Element

The Upcoming Events widget element displays Calendar events with dates closest to the current date.

Recent News Widget Element

The Recent News widget element picks up the most-recent posts in your Newsfeed, displays the beginning of the item text, and provides a “Read More” link to access the full post.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Recent News Settings” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Recent New” window that opens, activate the “Show All Posts (By default this widget will show admin posts only)” checkbox so the widget will display any recent posts, not just those written by Admins.
    • Note that the Recent News widget element does not prioritize pinned posts.
  6. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Contact Info Widget Element (Page Header)

The Contact Info widget element in a page header provides a convenient location to add a brief organizational message, along with a contact phone number and e-mail address. Note that this Contact Info widget element is not the same as the element that appears in the body of a page.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Contact Info” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Contact Info” window that opens, select the default text in the “Brand Text” box and type or paste in an organizational identifier or message.
  6. Select the default text in the “Phone Number” box and type or paste in a contact phone number. Especially if you must dial an area code to reach numbers in your local calling area or you regularly receive out-of-area calls, be sure to include your area code.
  7. Select the default text in the “Email Address” box and enter an address at which to receive general inquiries or non-urgent communications.
  8. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Contact Info Widget Element (Page Body)

A Contact Info widget area provides information about how and when to communicate with your organization.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen. Note that this Contact Info widget element is not the same as the element that appears in the main header widget at the top of a page.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Contact Info” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Contact Info” window that opens, select the default text in the “Title Text” box and type or paste in the name of your organization or another identifier.
  6. Select the default text in the text-entry area and type or paste in a message or an introduction to your contact information. An extensive series of controls at the top of the text-entry area enables you to apply stylistic options. (For an in-depth guide to these controls, see the “Style Controls for Text Widgets” item in the “Site Setup – Pages, Templates & Menus” Section of these instructions.
  7. Click on the “Go to your document repository” link to open your Document Repository from the Admin Dashboard in an adjacent browser tab. In the “Actions” column, click on the Copy File Link icon (blue document page) to copy the link to the document to your computer clipboard. Close the browser tab that displays the Document Repository and return to the “Edit Contact Info” window to use the copied link as the target of that you select and use the Link icon to turn into a link
  8. Click on the Edit icon (blue pencil) on one of the customization areas to add contact information.
  9. In the supplemental “Edit Contact Info” window that opens, select the default text in the “Title Text” box and type or paste your content.
  10. Select the default text in the main text area and type or paste in your contact information. Use the icon bar above the text box window to apply additional stylistic options.
  11. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes and return to the main “Edit Contact Info” window. To abandon your changes and return to the main “Edit Contact Info” window, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.
    • To add another information block to the “Contact Info” widget element, click on the “Add Info Block” button in the main “Edit Contact Info” window and repeat steps 7 through 10 to add your content.
    • To delete an information block from the main “Edit Contact Info” window, click on the “Delete” icon (red trash can) to the right of the name of the block.
  12. To finish completing your Contact Info in the main “Edit Contact Info” window, click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Social Links Widget Element

An Edit Social Links widget element provides clickable links to your organization’s presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, or any combination of these sites.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen. Note that this Contact Info widget element is not the same as the element that appears in the main header widget at the top of a page.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Social Links” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Social Links” window that opens, type or paste the full link to your organization’s profile page on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, or any combination of these sites. To assure that you enter the correct link, load the profile page in a browser, and copy the link directly out of the location line at the top of the browser window.
  6. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Sponsors Widget Element

The Sponsors widget element displays the companies or other entities that you set up as sponsors in the Dashboard.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Contact Info” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Contact Info” window that opens, select the default text in the “Title Text” box and type or paste in your sponsor’s name.
  6. Select the default text in the text-entry area and type or paste in a message or an introduction to your sponsor. An extensive series of controls at the top of the text-entry area enables you to apply stylistic options. (For an in-depth guide to these controls, see the “Style Controls for Text Widgets” item in the “Site Setup – Pages, Templates & Menus” Section of these instructions.
  7. Click on the Edit icon (blue pencil) on one of the customization areas to add contact information.
  8. In the supplemental “Edit Contact Info” window that opens, select the default text in the “Title Text” box and type or paste your content.
  9. Select the default text in the main text area and type or paste in your sponsor’s contact information. Use the icon bar above the text box window to apply additional stylistic options.
  10. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes and return to the main “Edit Contact Info” window. To abandon your changes and return to the main “Edit Contact Info” window, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.
    • To add another information block to the “Contact Info” widget element, click on the “Add Info Block” button in the main “Edit Contact Info” window and repeat steps 7 through 10 to add your content.
    • To delete an information block from the main “Edit Contact Info” window, click on the “Delete” icon (red trash can) to the right of the name of the block.
  11. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Footer Copyright Widget Element

The Footer Copyright widget element places a copyright notice at the bottom of your website page. Note that every page you create includes a footer copyright widget with its own individual settings, but the notice you enter into one Footer Copyright widget element appears on all website pages.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, click on the name of the page that contains the widget you want to edit. (By default, the Site Builder displays the Home page.)
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Edit Footer Copyright” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Footer Copyright” window that opens, select the default text in the “Copyright Text” box and type or paste in your copyright notice.
  6. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes. To abandon your changes, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.
