Edit Settings for an Uploaded Document

Change a document’s status from public to private, and specify who can see or download it.

Click on the “Features” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.

  1. Click on the “Documents” tab.
  2. In the “DOCUMENTS” window that opens, click on the “Document Settings” icon (blue gear) in the “Actions” column.
  3. In the “EDIT FILE” window that opens, activate the “Viewable By Public” checkbox to make the file accessible to non-members and to members who are not logged in. Note that this option is not available unless the folder in which the file is uploaded is set to be visible to the public.
  4. Activate the “Viewable By All Members” checkbox to enable your entire membership to access the document.
    • If you deactivate the “Viewable By All Members” checkbox, the “Viewable by…” dropdown menu appears. Open the menu to select one or more committee or activity tags and limit the document’s visibility to members with those tags.
    • Click on the “Save” button to complete the process of changing document settings.
    1. To close the window without changing the document settings, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.
