Newsfeed activity takes place entirely on the Member-facing view of your website, not inside the Admin area.
- Click on the “Public Site” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen to switch to the public website from the behind-the-scenes Dashboard view.
- In the public site, click on the “Newsfeed” item in the menu bar under the name of your organization. Depending on how your site is set up, the “Newsfeed” item may appear in a dropdown menu.
- In the “Newsfeed” window that opens, existing Newsfeed posts appear, starting with the most current.
- Click on the “+Create” button in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
- In the “Create New Post” window that opens, enter an optional title in the “Post Title” box.
- Type your content into the “Your Message” box. To expand the size of the window, click and drag on the diagonal lines in the lower right corner of the “Your Message” box.
- To add an image or document to your post, click on the “Browse” button in the “Upload photos or documents” area of the “Create New Post” window, locate and select the file you want to upload. Click on the name of the file to select it, and click on the “Open” button to continue. To view one or more files you’ve uploaded, click on the “view X attachments” and/or “view X images” link.
- To complete the process of posting your Newsfeed item, click on the “Post” button at the bottom of the “Create New Post” window. To exit the process without creating a Newsfeed item, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.
