By default, Household invoices only identify the address of the property that receives them. The Primary Resident feature enables you to add a Primary Resident to each Household that contains Household Members. Apply this automatically, or make a manual selection for individual Households. The Primary Resident’s name then appears on all invoices generated from Household dues items after the Primary Resident is assigned—so long as the “Show Primary Resident Name on Invoice” toggle switch is active on the Account > Settings page of the Admin Dashboard.
Automatic assignment
- Click on the “Households” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
- Click on the “Addresses” tab.
- In the “ADDRESSES” window that opens, click on the “Addresses Actions” button at the top right and choose “Auto Assign Primary Resident.”
- When you are happy with your changes, click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom right of the “SETTINGS” window to complete the process.
- To exit the process without automatically adding a Primary Resident, click on the “Cancel” button at the bottom right of the window.
Manual assignment
- Click on the “Households” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
- Click on the “Addresses” tab.
- In the “ADDRESSES” window that opens, scroll through the Address list till you find the row that contains the entry you want to edit. If your list covers more than one page, click on the right arrow to move to a later page, the left arrow for an earlier page, or a page number to go directly to that page.
- In the “ACTIONS” column of the row that contains the record you want to edit, click on the three-dots menu and choose “Edit Address.”
- In the “EDIT ADDRESS” window that opens, click on the “Primary Resident” dropdown menu to open it. Activate the checkbox in front of the name of the Household Member whom you want to be the Primary Resident for the Household at that Household Address. Note that you only can select one Primary Resident for each Household Address.
- When you are happy with your changes, click on the “Save Address” button to complete the process.
- To exit the process without manually adding a Primary Resident, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.
