Edit Active Widget Settings

Each of the themes that you can choose for your organization’s website includes multiple widgets on every page, from the Home page that’s visible when you first create your site to the pages you add as you expand your online presence. Edit the settings for an individual widget to make it visible or invisible on your public site, or to restrict who can see it.

  1. Click on the “Site Setup” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
  2. In the “Site Builder” window that opens, locate the page you want to edit in the vertical menu at the left side of the screen. Click on the name of the page.
  3. Place your cursor over the active widget whose settings you want to edit.
    • An overlay appears over the widget, dimming the appearance of its content, and a control sheet opens up from the top edge.
  4. Click on the “Widget Settings” item in the control sheet.
  5. In the “Edit Widget Settings” window that opens, activate the “Hide Widget (This Will Hide The Entire Row If There Are Multiple Widgets!)” checkbox to make the widget disappear from the public site. (The widget remains visible in the Site Builder so you can reactivate and edit it.)
  6. Activate the “Must Be Logged In Member To View” checkbox to make the widget visible only to members who visit your organization’s website and log in.
  7. Click on the “Update” button to apply your changes.
    • To exit the process without changing widget settings, click on the “Cancel” button, press the “Esc” key, or click on the “X” in the top right corner of the window.

Note: Although you can activate and deactivate any page widget, you cannot change the vertical order of widgets on a page or the horizontal order of widgets in a multi-module row.
